Context

The Abuja Treaty established the African Economic Community, and Agenda 2063 aims to provide African Union member states with a strategic tool for integrated investments. This project serves as a platform for strategic meetings to promote Africa’s growth, with the Italian Government’s support through the Mattei Plan, aimed at reducing clandestine immigration to Europe.

Forum Objectives

The primary objective of the forum is to bring together Africa and its potential partner-investors to discuss

development partnerships and mutually beneficial investments that can boost the creation of youth employment in Africa, thereby significantly reducing the temptation to clandestine immigration to Europe.

Specific Objectives

The forum will focus on presenting investment opportunities in key African sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, mining, energy, and more. It will also address challenges in Africa-Italy cooperation, strengthen economic exchanges with Italy and the West, and foster decentralized cooperation by creating new partnerships between governments, private sectors, and civil society organizations in Africa and Italy.

Why should you apply for the AIEF FORUM

Attending the Africa-Italy Economic Forum offers a unique opportunity to engage with key stakeholders from both Africa and Italy, including government officials, private sector leaders, and civil society organizations. Participants will gain valuable insights into investment opportunities across priority sectors such as agriculture, energy, healthcare, and ICT. The event fosters meaningful exchanges, strengthens economic partnerships, and facilitates business-to-business and government-to-government meetings, all with the goal of promoting sustainable growth and development in Africa while enhancing cooperation with Italy.
